Interactive Outdoor Summer Camp

For the past 30 years there has been a steady decline in the number of young people who hunt, fish, or enjoy other forms of wildlife-related outdoor recreation.

The Maison T Ortiz Youth Outdoor Skills Camp was founded in 2011 to help reverse this trend in Nevada.

The camp provides an interactive outdoor summer camp that engages youth in safe, responsible and fun wildlife and conservation activities.

The camp is held at the Winnemucca Ranch, about 30 miles north of Reno.

This week, Edwin sits down with Dennis Wilson, Board Chairman, Mike Bertoldi, Executive Director, and Aaron Keller, outdoor educator, to talk all about the camp and how your kids can attend.

To learn all about the Maison T Ortiz camp or to apply visit online.

  1. It is great to see that NDOW took some time out to feature a section on the next wildlife conservationists…this is a great camp!
